Fancy Green Beans with a little ZING.


1 large bag Green Beans
1 large Lemon
1 tablespoon Dijon mustard
2 tablespoon Extra Virgin Olive Oil
Garlic; diced

Original recipe makes 8



Steam Green Beans until they change color to bright green.

Dice 4-5 cloves of garlic and place then in a preheated pan.

When the garlic releases its aroma (don't let them brown) add the steamed Green Beans to the garlic sauce pan and rotate beans until they are uniformly covered.

For the sauce:

Mix the lemon juice, mustard and olive oil and pour over the green beans.

Toss and serve.

My son can't get enough of these. Even I who doesn't really like green beans had my fair share

My husband does not like green beans but thought these were really good and would eat them again. The kids, not so much. They were a little too lemony for me but a nice variation for green beans...I would use less lemon next time and a bit of salt.

This was ok. Way too lemony. I would use less lemon juice and more seasonings for taste.

I might've added too much lemon, but I thought this was too tart. I am going to try red wine vinegar next time.

The family felt it was just okay...nothing special. Not much flavor.

I felt that the beans were missing something and mine ended up very lemony. I added some seasoning salt but I think it would be better to maybe add just a dash of lemon to give it a hint of flavor so that the dijon stands out more.
