Ready in 45 minutes
Best ever brownies!
1)In a large bowl, combine cocoa and baking soda; blend in 1/3 cup melted butter. Add boiling water; stir until well blended. Stir in sugar, eggs and remaining butter.
2)Add flour, vanilla and salt. Stir in the pecans and chocolate chunks. Pour into a greased 13-in.x9in.x2in. baking pan. Bake at 350? for 35-40 minutes or until brownies begin to pull away from sides of pan. Cool.

Jean_L_Gutierrez 3y agoI followed the recipe for the most part but added a high quality baking bar melted in with the butter. I also cut the sugar down by 25% because the people I made these for font like overly sweet treats. Finally I used one half whole wheat

wkwjmu 4y agoNot my favorite brownies. I decided to try these after reading the rave reviews. Who can refuse a delicious bite of chocolate? Mine turned out a little cakey for my taste and they didn't give me that rich and gooey chocolate I love in the box mixes. The only differentiation I made was to substitute a Splenda blend instead of the sugar. (added to qualify my review)
