Whole Wheat Muffins

A very simple to make and excellent tasting recipe.

Ingredients

1 cup Whole wheat flour
1/2 cup Vegetable oil
1/2 cup white flour
1 cup buttermilk; or sour milk
3/4 cup Brown sugar
1 Egg
1 teaspoon Baking soda
1/2 cup Raisins
1 teaspoon Baking Powder
1/4 teaspoon Salt

Original recipe makes 12

Servings  

Preparation

Blend dry ingredients. Blend liquids well and add to dry ingredients. Bake at 350F -375F for 15 mins.

Makes 12 large muffins or 18 small.

Great recipe! I used fresh blueberries rather than the raisins as I had them on hand and they needed to be used. The muffin was moist and flavorful - a great base muffin batter for all my different add ins.
