This Greek cake was made each year as a celebration of the New Year. You throw a quarter into the better when adding it to thebaking pan. When served, the person who receives the quarter has good luck for the year!
Preheat over to 400.
Soften butter, start blending with sugar
Add eggs, one at a time
Add orange juice, liquor
Combine flour baking powder and orange rind
Add to blender
Mix till combined
Butter pan and coat with flour
Add batter to pan
Bake for 45 minutes
Place on cooling rack, sift lots of confectioners sugar on top oncecooled.
