1. While boiling the pasta. Prepare all the ingredients that need chopped and set aside. Green and red bell pepper, celery, chives, and hard boiled eggs.
NOTE: chop red onion and keep separate from all and place in baggies to mix into salad just before serving. This will keep the onion flavor from getting to strong.
2. Mix buttermilk, mayonnaise, miracle whip, vinegar, salt, pepper, crushed red pepper, and sweet relish in small bowl for dressing.
3. Rinse pasta in cold water and drain well. Add to mixing bowl.
4. Add to mixing bowl all the chopped ingredients except red onion. (See Note Above) mix well.
5. Add to mixing bowl the dressing previously mixed and combine well.
6. Chill for at least 3-4 hours or over night. Just before serving add the chopped red onion.
7. Guest can add salt and pepper to their taste.
NOTE: Do not use LIGHT mayonnaise or LIGHT miracle whip. Using will make your salad watery.
