This is an Italian classic. The flavor from the meat permeates the sauce with a rich flavor.
Combine first eight ingredients in bowl, stir well and set asideTrim fat from steak. Using a sharp knife cut horizontally through steak, cutting to, but not through the other side; open flat as you would a book. Place steak between two sheets of heavy duty plastic wrap and flatten to an even thickness using a meat mallet. Spread bread crumb mixture over steak leaving a 1/2 inch margin around edges. Roll up jelly roll fashion. Secure with string every two inches.Coat a large dutch oven with cooking spray and place over medium high heat. Add steak browning well on all sides. Remove steak from pan and keep warm.De glaze Dutch oven with red wine, add marinara sauce. Return steak to pan, reduce heat, cover and simmer for 1 hour.Cook fettuccine according to package directions and served topped with slices of meat and marinara sauce.
