Place flour in large bowl along with salt, garlic, cheese and basil. Mix and make a well in center of flour bowl. Add oil followed by the yeast mixture and mix with a hand mixer until a ball forms. Fold over a lightly floured surface and knead for about 3-5 minutes or until soft and springy.
Return dough to a lightly greased bowl, cover and let rise in a warm place for 40 minutes or until doubled. Fold dough onto itself and punch it down. Let it rest for 10 minutes. Turn dough on top of a well floured surface. Cut dough into 15 equal pieces and shape each into a ball then roll each into a 9-in. rope or tie up in a knot. Cover and let rest in a warm area for 40 minutes or until doubled in size.
Preheat oven to 400?F.
Lightly brush with melted butter. Bake for 15-20 minutes or until golden brown.
Meanwhile, combine softened butter, minced garlic and parmesan cheese in a small bowl. Season with garlic salt, Italian seasoning, pepper and paprika. Mix until smooth and set aside.
Melt garlic butter, brush breadsticks with mixture and sprinkle with grated parmesan cheese. Return to oven for 1-3 minutes. Remove to wire racks.
Serve immediately. Freeze leftover breadsticks and reheat in 350?F oven for 5 minutes when ready to eat.
