This recipe was given to me by a good friend of my wife, a dairy farmer. It is a wholesome, filling breakfast that starts many an early morning for them.
Brown sausage and drain. Spread bread in bottom of greased 9 x 13 baking dish.Top with sausage and cheese. Combine eggs, milk, mustard and salt. Pour over sausage/bread mix. Refrigerate overnight for best results. Bake in a 350(F) degree oven for 30-40 minutes, checking at 30 minutes for doneness.
You can add other favorites like bacon, peppers, etc. to taste
I prefer a glass baking dish. I strongly recommend overnight refrigeration to saturate the bread for best flavor.
