Heat oven to 350*. GREASE & FLOUR rectangular 9" x 13" pan.
Beat all ingredients in a large mixing bowl on LOW speed, scraping bowl constantly for 30 seconds. BEAT on High speed, scraping bowl occasionally, for 3 mins.
Pour into pan. BAKE at 350* for 35-40 mins. or til toothpick inserted in center comes out clean.
Round pans: Bake for 30-35 mins.
Bundt pan: Bake for 40-45 mins.
HIGH Altitude: Heat oven to 375* Grease & flour pan. Increase flour to 1 3/4 cups; decrease sugar to 1 1/3 cups & baking soda to 1 1/4 tsp. & increase buttermilk to 1 2/3 cups.
Bake Rectangle for 35 mins. & Round for 25-30 mins.
