Suggest a better descriptionPreheat oven to 190 deg
Sift flour and salt, rub in butter till mixture resembles breadcrumbs. Stir in cheese mix to combine. Make a well in the centre add milk and combine to form a soft dough.
Pat dough out to approx 3/4 inch then cut out rounds to a size that suits you, ie small cutter for morning tea larger cutter for lunch.
Place on oven tray and bake for 20/30 mins till golden.
If you wish you can top the scones
Melt 2 tbs butter add 1/3 cup shredded cheese add pinch of salt and 1/2 tsp of dry mustard.
Mix to moisten then place a little of the topping on each scone
The scone mix should be soft and pliable, if too stiff add a little more milk
