PREHEAT oven to 325. GREASE bottom on 9 1/2 Springform Pan. CREAM butter, sugar,1 pkg. vanilla sugar, eggs & lemon essence until light & fluffy. SIFT together flor & baking powder. BEAT into creamed mixture. GRADUALLY add milk. PUT batter into pan (prepared). PLACE cherries on top. BAKE 325 - 55 - 60 mins. PUT cake on plate SPRINKLE with icing & vanilla sugar
