Suggest a better descriptionCombine brown sugar, soy sauce, sake, onion and garlic. Cook and stir over low heat until sugar dissolves. Cook uncovered until like a thin syrup, about 5 minutes. Cool. Place chicken into a shallow baking dish, pour marinade over chicken, cover and refrigerate 4 to 6 hours.
Heat grill, remove chicken from marinade, place on hot grill, baste with reserved marinate.
