Roast and bbq
Purchase any kind of chicken thigh from the grocery store. The kind w bones in will be the cheapest. Skinned are always more expensive but you can always pull the skin off them. Just wait until they are on sale. Some kind of chicken always goes on sale! You can cook chicken drumsticks the same way. And they are also quite good. Chicken breasts are not as tasty I find, and more expensive Lay the thighs out on a cookie sheet or ribbed pan that you have sprayed with Pam. That way they won't stick. Sprinkle "seasoning salt" on the breasts and if you want to make them spicy sprinkle a very small amount of cayenne pepper on them too, a really small amount! Cook in the oven at about 350 degrees for about an hour to 90 minutes. Turn them over halfway through and salt the other side You can eat them out of the oven or put them on the bbq for fifteen minutes with a little bbq sauce to further crispy them up. If you do that then you don't have to cook them in the oven so long I like to do the oven thing over total bbq as it seems the chicken cooks all the way through better. Bbq will tend to burn on outside before they are thoroughly cooked inside If you do these it's worth doing enough chicken so you can have a second meal out of them so cook 8-10 thighs. Drumsticks make a good full meal also
