Beef Chili with Tex-Mex Style
Recipe: Chili con Carne al Tex-Mex Style
Beef Chili with Tex-Mex Style:
Makes 5 servings
1 large can of pinto beans
1 small can of black or red beans (I use black beans)
1 pound lean ground beef 90/10
3 slices of bacon (bacon) low in sodium and fat
1 can tomatoes with green chilies
1 clean jalapeno, seeded and deveined
2 cloves garlic
1 small onion
1 teaspoon cumin
1 tablespoon ground red pepper (paprika)
salt and pepper to taste
1 cup beef broth
Red chili powder (optional)
To accompany: Sour cream and shredded Mexican-style cheese.
Preparation: Fry onion cut into small cubes, bacon with garlic for about 3 minutes, add ground beef and move until you go crumbling. Once the meat becomes brown, place the cup broth, the two types of beans, tomatoes, cumin, paprika, salt, pepper. Finally add the jalapeno already cut. Covered and let it cook for 30 minutes. Serve in bowls with a little sour cream and cheese.
