Cook onion in a pan until translucent. Add garlic and jalapeƱos and cook until slightly charred. Add spices, and cook another 30 seconds. If spices are dry or sticking, add more oil as needed. Add the contents of the pan to the pot.
Saute ground beef. Add to the pot.
Cook chili until reduced to the desired consistency.
Serving recommendations:
Chopped green onion and sour cream as garnish
Quesadillas or corn bread as a side
