Katherine Bechthold's favorite cake.
Combine margarine, eggs and sugar. Add cocoa, boiling water and sour cream, baking soda, and vanilla, mix well. Add flour last and mix until well blended. Pour into a greased and floured 9 x 13 cake pan and bake for 35 to 40 minutes at 350 degrees. Cool and then frost.
FROSTING:
in and sauce pan combine sugar, milk and margarine. Bring to a rolling boil and boil for 2 minutes. Remove from heat and stir in chocolate chips and stir until well blended. Stir in vanilla last. Pour onto cool cake and spread. This thickens quickly after it is poured onto the cake, so work quickly.
