Suggest a better descriptionPreheat oven to 350. Butter bottom & sides of 9 by 2 in round pan. Flour pans & tap out excess. Put cocoa powder & chocolate in med bowl. Pour in boiling water &. Whisk until chocolate is melted. Whisk in sour cream. Let cool room temp. Whisk flour, baking soda& salt in med bowl. Beat butter &both sugars in large bowl w mixer on med-high speed until fluffy, 3to 4min. Beat the eggs one at time, then vanilla. Reduce speed to low; beat flour mixture in three batches, alternating w the cocoa mixture. Finish mixing w rubber spatula. Divide the batter between pans. Bake cakes for 35 to 40 min. Let cool 15min. Loosen cakes w knife around edges.
