We love Cracker Barrel, and we love their french toast! I've tried to copy it, and this is pretty close!
Whisk together the eggs, milk, sugar, vanilla and salt.
Heat your griddle to 350 degrees, or a skillet to medium heat. Grease with butter or non-stick spray.
Dip each slice in mixture for 30 seconds on each side. Cook on the griddle for 4-5 minutes, or until golden brown.
* I pour my egg mixture into a 9 x 13 cake pan and put several slices of bread in at a time, rather than dipping each piece. 30 seconds, flip, and another 30 seconds.
