I've always used turkey tenderloins and reduced the cooking time a bit. S4 tenderloins, less than 8 hours.
Place onion and turkey in a 3 1/2 guart or larger slow cooker.
Stir cranberry sauce and chipotle marinade in small bowl until blended. Spoon over turkey to coat.
Cover and cook on low 7 to 8 hours until turkey is tender. Remove turkey to cutting board.
Remove onion from cooking liquid with slotted spoon.
if desired, warm 1/2 cup cranberry sauce and 1/4 cup chipotle sauce until melted and combined. Stir in onion and spoon over turkey and onions..
Original recipe called for 2 turkey thighs (about 2 pounds) with skin and excess fat removed.
