Comforting soup
Heat Dutch oven to medium heat, cook bacon, remove, reserve 1 tbsp drippings.
Add onion, celery, carrot to drippings in pan, cook 3 minutes. Add thyme, mushrooms, garlic, state 5 mins.
Add stock and water, bring to boil, reduce heat and simmer 8 mins.
Add kale, salt, pepper, cook 3 mins, stir in chicken and rice.
Combine 1/2 and 1/2 and flour in bowl, stir into soup, cook 2 mins.
Top with bacon.
