Suggest a better descriptionPut the 1/4 lb butter and 1/4 lb brown sugar in a small saucepan and stir until boiling. When cool add beaten egg, vanilla, SR flour, date and walnuts. Spread in a slice pan and bake in a moderate oven for 20-30 mins. Cool, then ice with caramel icing.
Caramel Icing:
Combine 1 cup brown sugar, 1 tablespoon brown sugar, and the milk in a small saucepan and bring to the boil. Beat well.
