A strange-looking dessert with a wonderful taste.
Grease 11x14x2 pan (or larger). Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
1. Sprinkle coconut in pan, then pecans.
2. Prepare cake mix according to directions. Spoon carefully over coconut and pecans.
3. Mix cream cheese, margarine, sugar and vanilla. Beat well. Dollop onto cake. Do not stir in.
Bake at 350 degrees for 45 minutes.
This cake is so named because of its strange appearance after baking - the cream cheese sinks to the bottom and makes craters in the top. But it's really, really good. Be sure to use a pan larger than a 13x9, or it will overflow.
