Boil water for the pasta, have it ready
In a large skillet, heat the olive oil, then melt the butter over medium heat.
Add the onion and garlic and cook until the onion is translucent for about 2 to 3 minutes. Add the shrimp, then stir and cook for a couple of minutes. Squeeze in the lemon juice. Add the wine, salt, pepper and hot sauce. Stir and reduce the heat to low. I would take the shrimp off when they are hot, leaving on the fire will make them tough.
Throw the angel hair pasta into the boiling water. Cook just until done or al dente'. Drain, reserving 1 to 2 cups of pasta water in case you need to thin the sauce. However, I found that the sauce was too thin for my taste so I actually thickened it with some cornstarch. Of course it doesn't hurt to have the pasta water in case you need it.
Remove he skillet from the heat, if you haven't already done so. Add the pasta and toss. Taste for seasoning, adding salt and pepper if needed.
Top with the grated parmesan ( I used the shelf type, have found fresh parmesan in a hot dish tends to clump together and not melt well but you do you) and chopped parsley and basil Serve immediately.
