Saute chicken 4 to 6 minutes per side or until done. Remove chicken from the pan and keep warm. Reduce heat to medium; add preserves, vinegar, and pepper to the pan, stirring until preserves melt and is heated through. Spoon sauce over chicken to serve.
Steam vegetables according to package directions. Top with cheese while vegetables are hot.
