Suggest a better descriptionYou can use any soft fruit such as apricots, berries, mangoes or peaches. If you use cranberries, steam them or simmer them gently in water until they burst. 2 cups fruit (pared and chopped) (berries can be left whole - fruit with pits, seeds or stones must have them removed - larger fruit can be sliced or chopped) ***** 1 cup sugar; 2 cups water; 1 quart vodka ****Place the fruit in a large glass jar with a wide mouth. A gallon pickle jar is ideal. Add sugar. Stir lightly with a wooden(!) spoon, slightly crushing the fruit. Add the water and vodka. Stir and seal tightly. Let this mixture sit for 3-4 weeks at room temperature. Every few days, turn the jar over and leave it in its new position, alternating between right side up and upside down. After the above time has passed, store the vodka and fruit in the freezer (it wont freeze solid) and serve chilled. Or serve it at room temperature over ice or with sparkling water added. Serve the fruit along with the vodka. Recipe By : Siddhatma (BuktiMukti) From: Date: File ftp://ftp.idiscover.co.uk/pub/food/mealmaster/recipes/mmdja006.zip
