Suggest a better description1. Soak bean overnight in six cups water.
2. Drain and rinse the beans.
3. Place beans in the slow cooker and add 3 c. fresh water.
4. Cook covered on low setting for 3 hours.
5. Peel and chop the yellow onion into 1/4 inch pieces.
6. Clean and cut the green onions into 1/2 inch lengths.
7. Peel and slice the garlic paper-thin.
8. Chop the celery into 1/4 inch pieces.
9. Remove the seeds from the bell pepper and cut into 1/4 inch pieces.
10. Add the onions, garlic, celery, bell pepper, parsley, ketchup, Worcestershire, Tabasco, bay leaves, thyme, salt and pepper to the slow cooker; stir until well mixed.
11. Cook covered on low setting for 5-7 hours.
