Preheat oven to 450 degrees
Melt butter in a pre heated iron skillet (or hot pan that can be transferred into the oven), after it melted and sizzled, then pour in the batter, this t gives it a head start on cooking and on the rising capabilities.
In a medium bowl, mix flour, milk, eggs and salt. Pour the mixture into the prepared baking dish.
Bake for 20 minutes.
