Suggest a better descriptionThis makes a good crust for a savory filling. If youd like, add a teaspoon of dried herbs or some grated soy cheese to the crust. Preheat the oven to 400?. Combine the Gritty Rice and egg whites in a mixing bowl. Press onto the bottom and up the sides of a nonstick or lightly oiled 9" pie pan. Bake at 400? for 15 minutes, until set and starting to turn golden. Remove from oven and fill with a savory pie or quiche filling and bake according to the recipe. Yield: one 9" crust Serving size: 1/8 of crust Per serving: 49 calories,1 g total fat (0.1 g sat fat), 2 g pro, 8 g carb, 0.9 g fiber, 14 mg sodium, 0 mg cholesterol.
