Add one cup water to raisins. Boil 5 minutes. Cool.
Cream margarine and sugar.
Add eggs one at a time, beating well after each addition.
Add vanilla, nuts, cooled raisin mixture. Mix well.
Add sifted dry ingredients and blend well.
Drop by teaspoon on greased cookie sheet.
Bake in hot oven (400 F) 12 - 15 minutes
