Place the cherries in a small bowl. Add the juice and the cherries. Let macerate for 30 minutes. Drain, reserving the juice.
To the juice, whisk in the olive oil, balsamic vinegar, and a healthy dash of salt and pepper.
Pour half the dressing into a large bowl. Add the kale and onion, turn to coat. Then add the oranges and pears. Top with the cherries and the parmesan cheese.
Drizzle with some / all of the remaining dressing. ( I usually find it does not require "all").
Easy to make. Slice the fruit thinly!! Does not usually require all of the dressing.
