Whole lemons, ginger and turmeric drink.
Ingredients should be organic due to blending whole.
Wash lemons carefully to remove any residue from skin. Wash ginger and turmeric roots as well.
Add 4 cups filtered water to a high speed blender (Vitamix or Omega style). I have tried this with a regular blender and it does not pulverize the ingredients enough.
Cut lemons in half and add entire half lemons to the water.
Break apart ginger pieces into 1 inch or smaller to pieces (to aid in blending).
Add the rest of the ingredients to the water.
Blend on high for 2 - 3 minutes
Strain through a nut milk bag. I recommend squeezing into an 8 cup measuring container in the sink for easy clean up. There will be splashes and the turmeric stains. The nut milk bag will also become a beautiful yellow, Your hands will also be dyed yellow for a while.
For maximum body goodness, drink non-strained. For example if I feel a cold coming on I will drink it non-strained.
To drink, add water or soda water at a ratio of 3 to 1. I will sometimes add a dash of maple syrup for fun.
I transfer the drink to 3 - 500ml glass jars with lids and keep in the fridge. This amount will last me 3 to 4 days.
