Position racks in the upper and lower thirds of oven; preheat to 350. Whisk the flour, baking powder, salt in med bowl.
Beat butter, sugar and lemon zest in large bowl with mixer on med hi speed til fluffy about 3 min. Beat in the egg and extracts. Reduce mixer speed to low and beat in the flour mixture til just combined.
Fill cookie press with the dough. Press dough 1 1/2" apart on unlined baking sheets. Decorate with sanding sugar or nonpareils.
Bake, switching the pans halfway thru, til cookies are golden around edges, 14-17 min. Let cool 5 min on the pans, then transfer to racks and cool completely. fn12/17
