1. If using sausage, cook sausage in large pan until done; drain.
2. Add all vegetables, beans, tomatoes, seasoning and chicken broth. Bring to boil. Cover and reduce heat to simmer for 20 minutes.
3. If adding pasta, cook separately until al dente and stir into soup at the end of it's cooking time (so the pasta doesn't get mushy!)
