Dredge meat in flour on both sides.
In skillet, heat half the butter and half the olive oil together. Add onion and garlic and saute till translucent but not brown. Add remaining oil and butter, then add meat, cooking on both sides till brown.
Stir in gravy mix, dissolved in 3 cups water, using spatula to scraped browned bits. turn heat to simmer. Cook for 15 minutes more, stirring occasionally. Add peas, heat thru, and serve.
