Very Untraditional to say the least
Cook meat separately then drain grease. Cook elbow macaroni til soft separate then add. Combine all other ingredients in a big stock pot. Bring to a simmer then let simmer for 6 hours stirring occasionally. Then let cool and serve! I left additional seasonings up to you. I use garlic, Cajun and cayenne in mine.
