Suggest a better descriptionIn Dutch oven, sauté oil, garlic and stew meat until brown. Add the water, tomato sauce or juice and bay leaf. Salt and pepper to taste. Cover and let simmer for an hour. After one hour add the potatoes, carrots, and green beans. Sprinkle with French onion soup mix. Cook for 30 minutes or until all is tender. Add flour as needed to thicken.
