very good pecan pie with crushed pecans, for easier cutting and eating
I start by put the sugar in a bowl, putting in 2 TBS butter or margarine and melting in the microwave. Then I mix in kayro, vanilla and eggs then mix in the chopped pecans last. I chopped my pecans in an electric chopper to get small pieces. It makes the pie easier to cut into and my dad has false teeth and it's easier for him to eat. He loves my pecan pie. Pour into a 9" deep dish pie crust and cook on 350 for 50 minutes to an hr.
