Suggest a better descriptionPreheat oven to temperature on the cake mix box.
A 12" cast iron pan is preferred.
If you are using anything else, make sure it is OK to put in the oven, that's why cast iron is the best.
Melt the butter in the pan.
Using a brush or a spoon, brush the sides of the pan with butter.
When melted, add the brown sugar and cook till combined and bubbly.
Care this is molten hot.
If tou have too much butter, add some more sugar, if it's too dry, add more butter.
You want an even brown pastry consistency.
Drain the Pineapple, reserving the liquid, and place the Pineapple slices in the butter.
Make it look nice.
Place a cherry in the middle of each slice of Pineapple, and add more as you see fit.
Make the cake mix per package directions using the reserved juice for the liquid.
When the batter is ready, carefully pour over the Pineapple mixture.
Bake per cake mix directions.
Remove the pan fron the oven and let cool at least 15 minutes.
When it's cool, place a plate face down on the cake and turn the pan upside down.
Put this upside down on the counter ans carefully hit the bottom of the pan to help release the cake.
Carefully remove the pan.
Let cool completely uncovered.
Call you partner/child, put the pan on the table, give them a spoon and let'em clean out the pan.
