Suggest a better descriptionDirections: Preheat oven to 375F In a small skillet, heat oil until hot. Add onion and cook over medium heat, stirring often, until lightly browned, about 4 minutes. In a medium bowl, combine bread crumbs, 1 c applesauce, egg, sage, salt, pepper and allspice. Stir with a fork until mixed. Add ground pork and onions and mix until blended. Pack mixture into a 8x4x2 1/2 inch loaf pan. In a small bowl, stir together remaining 1/2 c applesauce and mustard. Spread applesauce mixture over top of loaf and cover pan with aluminum foil. Place on a baking sheet and bake for 30 minutes. Remove foil and continue baking until meat thermometer inserted in center of loaf reads 160-165F, about 30 minutes.
