Delicious pie made with fresh pumpkin.
To cook pumpkin: Clean pith and seeds out of pumpkin; slice into quarters; peel off skin; dice; Place into pan with very small amount of water. Cook on medium heat until tender; drain water; mash pumpkin.
To make pie: Mix sugar and flour together, add cooked pumpkin, milk, eggs, and butter, mix cinnamon, ginger, nutmeg and cloves with flour and sugar, cook on medium heat on stove stir constantly to keep it from sticking. After the mixture becomes thick, pour into pie shell. Cook in oven at 350F for 30 minutes or until pretty firm. The center will still jiggle a little when removing from oven.
