Preheat oven to 425 degrees. Line a baking sheet with parchment.
In a large bowl, combine flour, brown sugar, baking powder, and pumpkin pie spice. Stir to combine. Add the butter pieces, then using a pastry cutter to work the butter into the dry until mixture resembles course crumbs.
In second bowl, whisk together pumpkin puree cream and eggs. Pour into flour mixture, stir gently, until it all comes together into a dough. Turn onto a cutting board or floured surface. Use your hands to form into a 1/2 inch thick rectangle about 15 inches by three inches. Cut into 12 equal triangle wedges.
Transfer wedges to prepared baking sheet. Brush tops with some additional cream. Bake until poufy, set and barely golden. (20 to 23 minutes)Allow Cool completely.
For icing: Sift powdered sugar into bowl. combine with hot coffee and melted butter. Make sure icing is thick, but spreadable. If more coffee is needed to thin out. Spoon on to scones. Sprinkle with pie spice. Allow to set for 10 minutes.
Scones can be served at once or stored in an air tight container for 1 to 2 days.
