We have made this our own. It should be your own as well. It is comfort food without being heavy. It works with different pasta shapes. This is a great pasta dish.
Source: Adapted from an adaptations.
Heat oil in a large skillet, Add mushrooms, shallots garlic and cayenne.saute til tender.
Add wine, bring to boil.
Add cream, bring to boil. Simmer 3 minutes.
Add lemon juice, zest, peas and salmon to the simmer. 2 Minutes.
Add Capers, parsley, S&P. Stir it up. Keep warm.
Prepare pasta according to directions. Drain. Add cream/salmon sauce toi pasta.
Let sit for 2-4 minutes.
Top with P-R and serve.
I recommend being a little heavy handed with the lemon juice and zest. It produces a lighter, ethereal taste when served. Try long pasta (how we started), farfalle, or tubey pasta like penne. I am sure an ounce of whiskey at the end would warm this up even more, though I haven't done that yet.
