Oven at 425°
Beat together shortening, sugar, egg, vanilla and a touch of lemon.
Mix together flour, baking powder, baking soda, salt and nutmeg.
Alternately add dry ingredients and sour cream to egg mixture.
Roll out to a quarter inch thick and cut with a two and a quarter inch cutter and bake.
Sprinkle with cinnamon and sugar or just sugar before baking if you wish.
