A family favorite
Cream butter and sugar. Beat in eggs one at a time. Combine dry ingredients. Add to butter, sugar and egg mixture alternately with milk. Stir in lemon zest then fold in blueberries. Bake in greased loaf pan 350 F for 55 minutes. While baking, combine 1/3 cup sugar and lemon juice in small sauce pan. Heat and stir to dissolve sugar. When bread comes out of the oven, puncture top of bread several times. Pour syrup into loaf allowing bread to cool in pan for at least one hour.
