Follow box directions to make cake. (I use milk instead of water when making cakes from a box)
Let cool
Follow instructions on jello, but don't put in fridge to set yet.
Use fork to poke holes.
Pour Jello mixture over cake
Put in fridge to set up (at least an hour)
Top with strawberries, then Cool Whip
Changing up the fruit and jello combinations is good too. I do strawberries and blueberries for Independence Day and add some on top of the Cool Whip for decor.
