Slice a 1/2 inch layer from top, Leaving a 1/2 inch shell, remove center of cake, cut into pieces. Slice 1 qt strawberries, reserving 8-10 for garnish, Sprinkle sliced berries with 2 Tbsp sugar; let stand 30 minutes Prepare 2 3nvelopes Dream Whip; set aside 1 cup. Fold sliced berries and 1 cup cake pieces into remaining topping. Spoon into cake shell, replace top layer. Garnish with reserved topping and berries. Chill.
