Suggest a better descriptionIn a large mixing bowl, combine flour and sugar. In heavy saucepan, combine butter, shortening, coffee and coca and heat to boiling. Pour boiling mixture over the flour and sugar; add the buttermilk, eggs, baking soda and vanilla extract.
Mix well with a wooden spoon or electric mixer. Pour into a greased 17x11 inch jelly pan. Bake at 400 degrees for 20 minutes or until cake tests done in center.
While cake bakes, prepare frosting. In a saucepan, combine butter, cocoa and milk. Heat to boiling, stirring. Mix in powdered sugar and vanilla; stir until smooth. Pour war frosting over cake as soon as it comes out of the oven. Cool before cutting. Makes 48 bars.
