Suggest a better descriptionCombine egg yolks and sugar in the top of a double boiler, over very hot, not boiling, water. Over low heat, cook for about 10 minutes, stirring constantly. Remove from heat and whip yolks until thick and lemon colored.
Add mascarpone cheese to the whipped yolks. Beat until combined. In a separate bowl, whip cream to stiff peaks. Gently fold into yolk mixture and set aside.
Mix together cocoa powder and espresso powder. Place in sifter.
Using a 9" spring form pan, line the bottom with wax paper for easy removal. With 1/3 cup of the Kahlua, dip lady fingers and line the sides and bottom of pan. Brush with rest of 1/3 cup Kahlua. Spoon half of the cream filling over the lady fingers. Dust with 1/2 of cocoa powder/espresso powder mixture. Repeat - dip ladyfingers, using the rest of the Kahlua, and filling layers. Dust the top with the rest of cocoa powder mixture. Garnish with chocolate curls. Refrigerate several hours or overnight.
To make chocolate curls, use a vegetable peeler and run it down the edge of the chocolate bar.
