Suggest a better descriptionPut the diced bacon in a cold skillet. Turn the heat to medium-low and cook until the bacon has rendered some of its fat. Add the onion and the bell peppe and sauté until the vegetables soften. Transfer to a large mixing bowl. Stir in the pork and Beans, barbecue sauce, brown sugar, vinegar, Worcestershire sauce, mustard and clove. Pour into a large baking pan.
Set the temperature to 300 degrees F and preheat, lid closed, for 10 to 15 minutes.
Cook the beans for 2 1/2 to 3 hours or until the liquid in the beans is syrup. (Don't let them dry out.) Let the beans sit for a few minutes before serving.
