Nana's Welsch cakes
Sift flour, measure, sift again with the sugar, baking, powder and salt.
Cut in the butter until the mixture resembles cornmeal.
Stir in currants.
Make a well in the center of the flour mixture and add the lightly beaten eggs.
Mix into a soft dough.
Chill the dough in the refrigerator about 1 hour.
Roll 1/4 in thick and cut with 2 1/2 in biscuit cutter.
Bake in ungreased electric frying pan at 350 for 2-3 minutes on each side or unit tops are shiny and moist.
Sprinkle with sugar and cinnamon
